ABOUT DR. O’NEILL
Bend, Oregon Orthodontist, Dr. Casey O’Neill, was born and raised in Central Oregon where he attended Bend Senior High School and was recognized as an exceptional student, athlete, and member of our community. Being a Central Oregonian, he has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys skiing, fly fishing, hiking, biking, travel, & is a certified master SCUBA diver. Although most of his clinical training was at the esteemed University of the Pacific in San Francisco, Dr. O’Neill is deep rooted to his hometown community in the heart of Bend.
Education:
Dr. O’Neill earned degrees in Biology and Psychology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Oregon. After attaining his undergraduate degrees and although extremely competitive, Dr. O’Neill applied for orthodontic residency at the highly acclaimed University of the Pacific and was one of the few accepted. The program is led by nationally known orthodontists, professors, and researchers. Dr. O’Neill became class president at the University of the Pacific and received state of the art training in dentistry and orthodontics. He received awards for outstanding achievement of excellence in biochemistry, community service, & orthodontic research. Dr. O’Neill graduated at the top of his class while also volunteering with community outreach programs to help underprivileged minorities.
During residency Dr. O’Neill also teamed up with many surgical teams to address issues like cleft lip and palate. He volunteered with Rotaplast International to join a craniofacial surgery mission in Nagamengala, India. He was a part of a team effort to surgically correct facial deformities including cleft lip and palate in babies, children, and adults. The mission was a very rewarding way to give back. He also volunteered with a community outreach program to help underprivileged minorities. Dr. O’Neill is currently part of a multidisciplinary team at the Kaiser Hospital known as the Craniofacial Panel. Together, the team diagnoses and plans treatment for craniofacial patients.
Today, Dr. O’Neill volunteers and gives back to our community through numerous charities, missions, and events.
